Mechanism
1. Pyroptosis
We were able to observe As4O6 inducing pyroptosis in cancer cells. Cell membrane was ruptured by GSDME protein activation, followed by strong inflammatory reaction, eventually leading to cell death.
2. Anti-angiogenesis
CM-7919 (As4O6) inhibits the growth of cancer by blocking the angiogenic switch which leads to tumor expression of pro-angiogenic factors and increased tumor vascularization.

3. Apoptosis
As4O6 induces apoptosis and the expression of apoptosis-related proteins by significantly suppressing the proliferating cell nuclear antigen.
4. Suppression of NF-KB activity
As4O6 suppress downstream NF-KB-regulated proteins involved in cancer anti-apoptosis, proliferation, invasion and metastasis and NF-KB-mediated cellular responses.
